The midst of your heart could be a pretty pure place to go. I used to believe it was a place of intense perplexity and where the past lived, but I truly have come to find that it's really a place of purity.
These thoughts and emotions that I feel within have been claimed by others to be intense and for some reason I have experienced some kind of negativism with this word. Maybe it's the way I am taking it? Perhaps it's the way that I translate that word? Nevertheless, I am absolutely starting to begin to find this emotional force about life is essentially simplicity manifesting itself.
I'm hooking up and linking into the purity of some of these feelings that I have not fully experienced before. Maybe that's the idea right there - totally experiencing emotions.
When we shut ourselves off from experiencing bad feelings we also shut ourselves off from experiencing the wide range of positive ones as well. The deepest part of your heart could be a place of safety where you can go to grasp the truths about yourself instead of a place that you have to be frightened of. In this place, there exist lessons of love and enthusiasm. Why would you not want to go there?
I think we are terrified of this place possibly because we have experienced how wild and intense a number of these deep emotions we go through are and that really scares the hell out of us. For some reason, we are taught to keep a lid on ourselves and not stray too far outside the middle because that's the secure place to play. No, I'd rather climb dangerous trees and travel into unknown lands than play it safe.
That game isn't for me...the playing it safe game in life.
The depths of your heart could be a place where you go to grasp the intricacies and conundrums of this life. There are so many things that we don't understand about what is happening in this world because we can't see them. Often, you've got to run on deep faith. You need to be content to put your feet forward, one after the next straight into the dense mist and function on that blind faith. Will it be frightful? You can bet your money on it. Will it be worth it? Oh completely. Time and time again you must travel into your heart to find your true self and start to function in a way that is actually connected and present with the planet. If you can try that, there's no cap on what you will become.
So what will it be today?
