The Importance Of Just A One Dollar Sierra Leone Donation

By Henry Davis

According to a famous Bangladeshi who won a Nobel Peace Prize in the past, future generations should only see poverty in the museums. Poverty needs to be a thing of the past. Unfortunately, many Sierra Leonean families are encumbered in the ever vicious circle of poverty. A heartfelt Sierra Leone donation will help to break this circle. Even a one dollar donation is sufficient. If every person in the developed world gives just one dollar towards a noble cause, the developing world will become a better place. The spirit of charity will make it possible for many families not to sleep hungry.

Poverty is dehumanizing. It is surely a scar in the conscience of Africa. The good news is that poverty can totally be eliminated in Sierra Leone. Being born poor is one thing. However, with much needed assistance from well wishers, many Sierra Leoneans will be saved from dying poor. The vicious circle of poverty can indeed be broken with the right kind of empowerment.

Humanity can be freed of poverty. There is a solution to poverty and it is not about giving the fish. It is rather teaching a person to fish. That is the true meaning of empowerment and it is what some charities are doing. These organizations need donations so that they can continue doing their noble endeavors all over the world.

Water is life. One can live a number of weeks without food but only a few days without water. Unfortunately, there are Sierra Leoneans who do not have the luxury of clean water. They have to contend with dirty water. These people need all the help that they can get. A donation will facilitate the digging of clean water well.

Life is brutish not just in Africa but also in the Grand USA and it is because of an animal called poverty. The state of poverty has reached dire straits and some people are being forced to live for days without anything to eat. The good news is that there are charities in Africa that are feeding the hungry.

To some Africans, education is a luxury. They cannot even afford the most basic education. Illiteracy is a disease. It is a disease that kills slowly. There are charities that are in the business of ensuring that every Sierra Leonean child has access to primary and secondary education. These charities need to be supported by well wishers everywhere.

The Sierra Leonean healthcare sector needs financial support. Global health organizations are already helping but their support is not enough. The support of everyday men and women will end up making many in Africa to enjoy high quality healthcare. No child deserves to die because of malaria or polio. These are diseases that need to be fully eliminated.

There are two major ways of donating. The first method is donating in cash and the other is donating in kind. Any type of donation is usually welcomed by those in need. One can donate his skills to help people who need it the most. There are many good charities out there but there are also utter frauds. Some background research will come in handy.
