Prophetic Pastor Opportunities On The Way To Repentance And Effect Of False Prophets

By Sally Delacruz

Rules and regulations guide the moral behavior of individuals in the society. In our homes, schools and churches worldwide there are a set of rules that govern people. In the church this rules are known as commandments found in the bible and spiritual leaders have been granted the mandate to interpret and teach Christians on how to uphold them. Pastors usually have the authority to interpret the word of God but prophetic pastor opportunities have made it difficult for them because of the emergence of false prophets.

Prophetic pastors are gifted people who can interpret the bible, foresee what the future has in store and deliver a certain message from God or warn people against something. For example a calamity about to unfold if people do not change their ways. While a prophecy is the power of foretelling future happening or it can be defined as a statement made by a prophet saying what will happen in the future. What these prophets say are definite and not mere facts.

People usually hate to be corrected or reminded of the consequences if they do not follow certain rule that is why true prophets are often rejected and attacked because they speak the truth paving way for the false prophets. False prophetic pastors choose their words carefully and are bold, convincing people that what they say is actually the truth. They analyze issues that mostly affect people, like poverty, failed marriages, sickness etc and pretend to have a solution to them, this way pulling more people in their congregation for their selfish desires.

They know the weaknesses of people therefore corrupting their mind to their advantage. The bible warns us about false prophets, like in the books of Mathew 7:15-20 saying that these prophets come like sheep on the outside but on the inside they are just wild wolves.

Usually people will listen and follow what the prophetic pastors tell them and being the world that we live in today the prophetic pastors have seen an opportunity to exploit the society. They pretend to be prophets sent by God by preaching false prophecies for their own selfish interest. That is, asking for offerings, favors and claiming to have the power to heal all kinds of calamities, be it sickness, poverty etc.

These false prophetic pastors extort money from their congregation in form of tithe and offering who innocently give out without knowing. They also claim to have certain powers such as healing the sick, making the blind to see or even helping a barren woman to get a child only on the condition that they will bring an offering in terms of monetary value.

So many false prophets have emerged that it has become business to many. Differentiating the true from all the prophets has become hard but the common thing is that they will not speak about judgment and they keep repeating the same thing over and over. Many nations have freedom of worship and this has provided the false prophets an opportunity to exploit people. They drift people farther away from God especially the ones who want to live a righteous life knowingly and . Are not remorseful in any way.

These prophets promise people freedom/salvation while they are slaves of destructive habits. They are bold and confident that if someone is not careful they will believe that what they say is actually the truth. The interesting thing is that when these false prophets stand by their words quoting some verses in the bible that are likely to favor them.
